Stumbled upon your blog. You’re ruthless and entertaining.
I’m thinking about teaching English in Busan. Any recommendations for recruiters or schools?
Thanks,
Kate
You need to decide what’s more important, teaching in Busan, or a cushy job.
EPIK (public school) only lets you pick City, Province, or bumfuck. Your chances of getting Busan are low, and the application process is long.
Hagwons are easy, go through any recruiter like footprints, reach2teach, teachaway. Actually do them all and just go with the one that gets you the best gig. Just tell them to fuck off if they can’t get you a job in Busan.
You’ll probably be making 2.2 million, taxed at 3.3% if not 4.0%, and doing actual work 40-55 hrs a week from 2-9pm or something. You can check out some of the posts I’ve made about that, and feel free to ask me any other questions.
Yo, [name redacted], I;ve given up my facebook status, so I had to find you here. I am trying to send mail to a friend that just began her stint in Busan. She says I have to address the mail in Korean. Yes? Suggestions? Advice? Does anyone send you mail in Korea?
